Did Obama make a fair trade with Gordon Brown? Would you be offended?

Mr. Brown gave Obama priceless gifts: The framed commission for HMS Resolute and a first edition of the seven-volume biography of Churchill by Sir Martin Gilbert. In addition, Mr. Brown’s gifts included an ornamental desk pen holder made from the oak timbers of Victorian anti-slaver HMS Gannet, once named HMS President. Oak from the Gannet’s sister ship, HMS Resolute, was carved to make a desk that has sat in the Oval Office in the White House since 1880.

Obama gave Mr. Brown 25 DVDs. Brown is not known to be a film buff.

Was it intentional that Brown gave Obama the Churchill biography after Obama returned the Churchill bust that had been in the White House? Oh, did the US mainstream media fail to properly cover that gesture? Here is a link.

Joan S: The loan was extended, but Obama refused. Obama’s staffers said of their snub that Britain was not special and just like any other nation. Who is being myopic? Okay, let’s focus on the big picture: Everything McCain warned us all about during the debates has come true: Obama is not able to do everything at once, and the 95% tax cut is completely untrue. If anyone understands the relationship between a W-4 and filing taxes, they know that we are not getting any additional money. We could do this on our own by changing the W-4. McCain also warned about $1 trillion in new spending outside of the bank bailout. Most of the country did not believe him, because he seemed kind of angry and did not project his voice well. I’m no McCain fan, but "WOW!" he is looking better every day. Even major Democrats are warning about the proposed Health Care spending. How does $0 for a rail project between Anaheim and Vegas go to $2 billion in the Senate and $8B in the compromise? REID.

While I am critical of Obama’s economic policies, I’ll be the first to admit that being an inexperienced President who is overwhelmed by an economic crisis doesn’t leave much time and energy for entertaining and gift giving.
On the other hand, if Brown was the CEO of a bank he would have received the gift certificate that’s good everywhere…money, and lots of it!

Can i have a bio on obama?

Can I have a biography on Obama
or a website where I can find

http://www.barackobama.com/learn/meet_barack.php

Barack Obama was raised by a single mother and his grandparents. They didn’t have much money, but they taught him values from the Kansas heartland where they grew up. He took out loans to put himself through school. After college, he worked for Christian churches in Chicago, helping communities devastated when steel plants closed. obama turned down lucrative job offers after law school to return to Chicago, leading a successful voter registration drive. He joined a small law firm, taught constitutional law and, guided by his Christian faith, stayed active in his community. Obama and his wife Michelle are proud parents of two daughters, Sasha and Malia.

Early Years
Barack Obama was born in Hawaii on August 4th, 1961. His father, Barack Obama Sr., was born and raised in a small village in Kenya, where he grew up herding goats with his own father, who was a domestic servant to the British.
Barack’s mother, Ann Dunham, grew up in small-town Kansas. Her father worked on oil rigs during the Depression, and then signed up for World War II after Pearl Harbor, where he marched across Europe in Patton’s army. Her mother went to work on a bomber assembly line, and after the war, they studied on the G.I. Bill, bought a house through the Federal Housing Program, and moved west to Hawaii.
It was there, at the University of Hawaii, where Barack’s parents met. His mother was a student there, and his father had won a scholarship that allowed him to leave Kenya and pursue his dreams in America.
Barack’s father eventually returned to Kenya, and Barack grew up with his mother in Hawaii, and for a few years in Indonesia. Later, he moved to New York, where he graduated from Columbia University in 1983.

The College Years
Remembering the values of empathy and service that his mother taught him, Barack put law school and corporate life on hold after college and moved to Chicago in 1985, where he became a community organizer with a church-based group seeking to improve living conditions in poor neighborhoods plagued with crime and high unemployment.
The group had some success, but Barack had come to realize that in order to truly improve the lives of people in that community and other communities, it would take not just a change at the local level, but a change in our laws and in our politics.
He went on to earn his law degree from Harvard in 1991, where he became the first African-American president of the Harvard Law Review. Soon after, he returned to Chicago to practice as a civil rights lawyer and teach constitutional law. Finally, his advocacy work led him to run for the Illinois State Senate, where he served for eight years. In 2004, he became the third African American since Reconstruction to be elected to the U.S. Senate.

How did Obama clear campaign finance rules with the purchase of land from Rezko for only 17% of its value?

Filed under: obama — Tags: 3 Years, Becuse, Campaign Finance Rules, Lot, Money Launderer, Politicians, Rezko, Rose — admin @ 8:44 am

Obama couldn’t afford the house he bought in 2004, indicted money launderer and Obama supporter Rezko bought the lot next to Obama to lower the cost. Rezko paid $646k but sold the lot to obama 3 years later for $100k. Given the timeframe – values rose during that period so the lot should have been worth almost a million.

becuse he is, like most politicians a crook

Why would the Obama campaign not release the birth certificate they claim is valid and certified?

Filed under: obama campaign — Tags: Ahead, Birth Certificate, DNC, Factcheck, Hell, Lack Merit, Lawsuits, People, Suits — admin @ 7:49 am

The Obama camaign website claims they have this document why won’t they send it to the court? What is BO hiding or is he just lying?

It seems like it would be an awful lot easier than litigating like hell to avoid producing it.

Yes, people, TWO (that I know of) lawsuits are in Federal Court, both demanding the B.C. be shown to a judge. Obama and the DNC are refusing to just do that and are instead litigating at great length and expense to avoid letting it be seen.

Let’s go ahead and assume both of these suits lack merit. Even if that’s the case, they can both be brought to a swift end in 1 step that costs nothing: "show it."

So, why go to all the trouble?

Details, people. Some of you are unintentionally making the point AGAINST obama. The judge can NOT get a copy of Obama’s B.C. "factcheck" claims they saw it, handled it etc, but the judge has NOT been allowed this same "courtesy."
Normal channels for getting a certified record DO NOT yield one! That’s WHY this case is in court.

ps, Berg now claims to have taken delivery of Certified Kenyan birth documents. It remains to be seen if they are any more verifiable than Obama’s "internet B.C."

How come Obama isn’t referred to as a biracial president?

Filed under: obama — Tags: Black Blood, Drop Rule, Relevance, White Man — admin @ 7:48 am

I completely understand the relevance of obama being of Kenyan decent, but why the emphasis on being black? He is just as much a white man.

Look up "one drop rule." In the US, historically, having any known black blood was sufficient to be considered black.

How is Obama planning to pay for all of the intiatives he talked about the other night?

If we’re in a deep hole, where is obama planning on getting the money to pay for all of the big initiatives he’s talking about? If they just print more money, doesn’t that make the value of the dollar go down because there are more dollars in circulation? Macroeconomics has always been difficult for me to understand. Insights?

He plans to cut the amount we are currently spending in Iraq, let the Bush tax cuts on high income people expire, put in a program that will tax CO2 production in industry and to borrow the remainder of the deficit which he claims will be about the same amount we have needed to borrow for the last 8 years. The US government does not print money to pay for deficits, the amount of new money creation is determined by monetary policy to control economic activity

What was so controversial about Obama’s education speech?

What’s wrong with telling kids to study hard, stay in school, and set goals for themselves?

Here’s a link to his speech http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090907/ap_on_go_pr_wh/us_obama_school_speech_text So please point out to me what all the fuss is about, because I guess I must be blind.

the controversy is that the Republicans are still pissed that Obama won and now act like everything he does is evil….. Ummm Bush Sr did the same thing when he was in office and it was just fine because he was a Republican…. Get a life!!!
