  5. Here’s an idea if …
Here’s an idea if the taxes are so high, give the employees raises since Al’s boss has no logical reason for making more than the people he highers… Or buy a lot of stock so when the economy does better from those taxes, you get the profits your company makes along with having that money have actual value and not be inflated McCain dollars.

  8. the proof is done …
the proof is done by looking at how much business your Uncle was doing in the Clinton years when he paid higher taxes.

The expaination is: when middle class people have more money then small business does more business so eventually he will hire those people back that he had to fire.

  12. fiscal …
fiscal responsibility does not mean taxing the wealthiest 5% more when they already pay 60% of the taxes.

  13. Too bad you don’t …
Too bad you don’t understand that with the consumer’s taxes lower, they are able to afford the shoes from Al’s company. Al wouldn’t lose his job because Al’s company is too busy selling shoes.

  14. All businesses …
All businesses only pay tax on their net profit. If your uncle’s business is *netting* over $250,000 a year, then he does have the cash flow to keep keep those two employees. If profits are going down, then taxes are going down.

The rhetoric of the McCain campaign seems to be confusing people into thinking the tax rate would go up on businesses that *gross* more than $250k. That’s just not true. Learn some basics of business accounting if you are interested in all this.

  15. Your uncle lay-offs …
Your uncle lay-offs are temporary. Ordinary Al gets an extra 1000 dollars some of which he spends in your uncles business…your uncle see more demand for his business and hires more workers….who have salaries which they spend in other businesses which increases demand which create jobs which increases demand which creates jobs which……

  16. What the ?So …
What the ?So let me get this straight?A business owner’s response to losing money is to cut productivity & therefore, more of his wealth?Well, why cant he just tighten his living budget & make it work, like Al’s supposed to do?

  17. That’s a good point …
That’s a good point; 1/20 small businesses will have to pay more tax. But the other 19 will pay the same or less so that will help. There’s lots of businesses that make less than 150k and they will pay less tax.

Don’t blame your uncle’s situation on a PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE that is NOT in office yet. Blame the incredibly stupid guy with NO experience who wasted every single penny this country had on his make-believe war.

  24. Your uncle likely …
Your uncle likely doesn’t make $250,000. His business takes in more than $250,000 in revenue, but after expenses, like payroll, etc, he’s probably personally taking home less than a quarter a million dollars.

However, if he IS personally paying himself $250,000 a year in salary as the “CEO” of his small business and he’s still laying people off to cut costs, people who probably make less than $50,000 a year each, I don’t feel sorry for him, and I think he’s part of the problem with the economy.
